What BPC-157 is

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid sequence derived from a protein found in gastric juice. It is stable in acid, which is one reason it appears so often in oral-administration animal work rather than injection-only protocols.

The compound is classified for laboratory research use. It is not an approved medicine in the UK, and it is prohibited in competitive sport under WADA's S0 category.

What the evidence base looks like
